El Racó d’en Freixa located in the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district opened its doors in 1986. The restaurant was lead by Dori Riera and Josep Maria Freixa. In the middle of 90s, Ramon, their son, took over the stoves and completely reinvented to the catalan cuisine they served. As a chef, Ramon was a great success and in 2009 he moved to Madrid and began a project which has won two Michelin Stars in only two years. Josep María couldn’t abandon the restaurant business and decided to come back to restore the flavours from our memories. Now he is running the show, but not cooking by himself in the kitchen. They have a wonderful brigade of chefs, some of whom have worked with him before.
